If we keep doubling the time between updates each time, soon it will be infinitely long… Perhaps we shouldn’t go that route. Of course, it’s been a busy 8 months – that’s how our lives go. And we seldom have our camera with us. We did more than knit, crochet, and climb; however, here’s a few [...] We began the month by making some seating for the yard. We decided to make Plank Chairs, following the instructions at Instructables . That wasn’t enough, though, so we also made a square-foot garden, as described in the book Square Foot Gardening. The beginning-of-the-month projects weren’t all fun and games. I decided to see why [...] Although we had snow at the beginning of the week, we just had our first weekend with 80 degree weather. So Gretchen and I went and did glassblowing at the Corning Museum of Glass! Oh, and we did some yard work, too – building a great raised bed for our future flower garden! Click [...] Gretchen’s mom came to visit this week and we had a very busy time making roman shades for the bedroom and living room. We almost finished! We had to make shades for 8 windows, and good old JoAnn Fabrics in Ithaca (and Horseheads, and Cortland, and Auburn) just didn’t have enough of the [...] Ben turned 30 this year. I made him a flannel bath robe as his present. The project turned out to be much more difficult than I had anticipated, but I managed to finish in only a week!!! You can see the pictures here! |
